12/4/23 - Orchestra Updates

Hi all! Some updates and info: 1) Fruit Sale Delivery Day is coming this week on Saturday! Work for students and parents goes 6am-noon. -- Parents: Consider helping out -- Students: Sign up to help outside the Music Office -- Make sure you come pick up your fruit (or any you are responsible for delivering) between 8am and 12pm. 2) Philomusica Concert with KMS 5th graders tomorrow (Tuesday 12/5). Concert starts at 5:30 pm, and ends by 6. Wear orchestra shirts, and come help out before and after! 3) WSMA Honors audition sign-up ends this coming Friday. Our school code is 10508. 4) Winter Teas for the Symphony and members of Philo come on Friday, 12/15. Look for permission slip info soon. 5) Get your Nutcracker tickets! Symphony performs at 7:30 on 12/19. 6) On January 4th @ 7 pm, Zach Galin, president of Galin Education will be coming over to MHS to talk about how band, orchestra, and choir can be used in the college admissions process for music majors and non-music majors. This event is designed for individuals to understand the modern college admissions process and help navigate steps moving forward. It is completely free and recommended for all families in the music program, as we often have high-achieving students across all music programs.
