Hello, Orchestra families!
Our first concert of the year comes next week on Wednesday 10/30.
Here is what you might want to know about it:
Concert starts at 7:30
Free concert--invite family and friends!
Students should arrive in the building no later than 6:50.
We will have no coordinated warm-up so they will need to tune and prepare
Concert attire can be found ON THIS DOCUMENT
Basics: SO = all black, long sleeve, Sf/CO = black or black and white
All students are expected to attend, of course
Conflicts should have been communicated long ago
All students should plan to bring their good instruments from home all week in class
CELLOS: You will need to have your home cello for sure at the Tuesday ASR rehearsal and also for the concert. We own 14 cellos and have 25+ cellists.
There are 2 combined numbers at the end of the concert--all 130 musicians!
As our one opportunity to run the combined pieces, we are rehearsing all together on stage during ASR1+2 on Tuesday 10/29. All orchestra students have been reserved.
FRUIT SALE IS GOING ON NOW!
Please help the Orchestra and Band programs in their biggest fundraiser of the year. Not a fan of selling things? Consider a donation: The average amount spent by the Boosters per year per student is around $150.
MHS Conferences
The 1st Semester Family Engagement Mini-Arena Conferences will happen on Wednesday 11/6. Unfortunately, I am not going to be there that evening. If you have questions ort concerns about your student, please drop me a note and we can find an alternative time to chat.
See you next week on Wed!
