On January 10 from 5:30-10:30 pm in the Middleton Performing Arts Center, the MHS Music Department will host its annual Concerto-Aria Competition. This year is the largest number of entries, with a total of 35 auditions. Each entry performs for a panel of three local musicians who provide written feedback and then collaborate to decide which musicians will perform their solos with the MHS Symphony Orchestra at the March 2 concert. Additionally, participants in the audition will be selected to perform during Spotlight Shows at Fine Arts Week 2023. Results will be announced on January 11, 2023.
The event is open to the public on a drop-in basis. Bring some work, a book to read, or a crossword puzzle, and listen to the result of thousands of hours of work and dedication.
